Description

The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a key role in maintaining operational integrity, regulatory compliance, and member service excellence. This position ensures the accuracy and completeness of member documentation, audits daily transactional activity, and supports risk mitigation by adhering to credit union policies and federal regulations. The Quality Assurance Specialist also contributes to improving internal processes and service interactions across departments, fostering consistency, accuracy, and continuous improvement in alignment with the credit union’s high standards.

Requirements

 • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, including NCUA, BSA/AML, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Responsible for complying with all laws, statutes, rules and regulations which govern the credit union, including but not limited to all components of the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Represent the credit union in a courteous and professional manner, delivering prompt, accurate, and efficient service to members and internal staff.
  • Review newly opened accounts, consumer loans, and credit card applications for accuracy and policy compliance.
  • Conduct audits of file maintenance tasks such as name record changes, loan records, and credit card updates to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Maintain effective tracking systems for document receipt and verification related to new accounts and loan products.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on QA findings, trends, and key performance indicators.
  • Support internal audit readiness and respond to inquiries with accurate documentation.
  • Provide constructive feedback for staff and managers in a professional, coaching-oriented manner.
  • Participate in policy reviews, system testing, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Cross-train with other QA team members and assist as needed to support departmental continuity and workload balance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support credit union goals.
