Job Purpose: The Multimedia Designer is a key contributor in the company's marketing efforts, specifically through the creation of graphics and digital development. This role helps attract Lucas Oil’s target audience through creative elements and brings awareness to our product lines. In addition to bringing inspiration and creativity, the ideal candidate must understand how to apply our marketing strategy to effectively develop advertising materials.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining all corporate websites, including but not limited to maintenance, troubleshooting and optimizing performance.
- Gather information and materials needed from designated individuals to accomplish tasks.
- Becomes familiar with brand guidelines, images, components and overall brand identity, as well as the guidelines of our partner companies.
- Works within existing brand guidelines and designs to version out print collateral, image-based emails, and digital assets for our website and social media channels, etc.
- Works within existing PowerPoint templates to create beautiful and legible presentations for our sales department.
- Proofreads to ensure accurate and high-quality work.
- Has the ability to receive feedback with a positive mindset and can adjust designs and copy according to the direction provided by stakeholders.
- Obtains approval of concepts by submitting rough layouts, timelines, and estimates for approval.
- Maintains technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications and staying up to date on marketing and design trends, etc.
- Has the ability to learn new software, if needed, to accomplish projects.
- Works well as part of a collaborative team.
- Assist in designing marketing materials that have high visual impact and help present our products and services to the public and our partner clients in a breakthrough way.
- Assist in designing corporate communications, presentations, product packaging, sales flyers and promotional elements.
Requirements
Required qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Front-End Web Development, Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, HTML,, CSS3, Word Press, Flash, Dreamweaver and Intermediate Javascript.
- Must be Mac proficient.
- Previous experience collaborating through Project Management software preferred.
- Ability to take daily creative notes and feedback and quickly develop or modify creative to the needs of each project.
- Good communication and writing skills for design applications.
- Must be able to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Must assess own technical strengths and weaknesses and pursue training and development opportunities. Must strive to continuously build knowledge and skills.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Requirements
- This position requires sitting and watching a computer screen for extended periods of time.
