Group Accountant.
Location: Hybrid working at our office in Wimbledon.

We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for Group Accountant to join our Group Finance team.
Reporting directly to the Head of Group Reporting, the post holder will have a broad finance role with exposure and ownership over a variety of core accounting, FP&A and Investor Relations tasks. They will be expected to take responsibility for the following:
Key Responsibilities:
Internal reporting
Managing the monthly Group reporting process, working closely with divisional finance and other teams to ensure delivery of timely, accurate financial information
Expected to challenge the status quo of processes and formalising documentation and controls
Own the monthly Group results analysis to our PE owners and the Group CFO, clearly documenting and articulating drivers for variances to budget, key accounting judgements, and opportunities/risks to the budget for the year
Build strong understanding of Workday for financial reporting, working closely with divisional finance teams to identify areas for improvement
External reporting
Production of the Group Consolidated IFRS Annual Report & Accounts including the Strategic Report and Corporate Governance Report
Supporting continuous development and understanding of Insurance accounting in line with IFRS 17
Produce Holdco subsidiary statutory accounts
Support quarterly external results presentations and announcements in line with external debt obligations
Support with analysis and insight for external investor queries
Support in production of technical papers and key judgement areas for Group Audit & Risk Committee (‘ARC’)
Other
Ensuring appropriate financial controls and processes are in place throughout the Group Consolidation Process and Holding Companies accounting, including embedding of the new D&G Financial Reporting Control Framework (‘FRCF’) to support accurate and timely production of financial information
Assist with identifying areas for improvement in the financial reporting process
Assist with ad hoc finance projects and provide support to Group Financial Controller and Director of Corporate Finance
Skills and experience required:
Advanced Excel skills
Qualified ACA accountant.
Able to work and communicate effectively at all levels of the business including Group Financial Controller and external investors or advisors
Strong written and oral communication skills
Confident, a self-starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment
Able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgment showing logical decision making
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Good knowledge of core accounting principles and practices
Able to make sound day to day accounting decisions and solve accounting issues and problems
Experience of working in regulated environment, including Solvency II, group reporting and consolidation.
