- Develop, implement and coordinate EHS programs.
- Ensure that UG2 EHS programs are fully implemented at all sites.
- Work with operations to ensure all work-related injuries and accidents are properly investigated, root causes are identified, corrective actions are taken, and lessons learned are shared.
- Ability to establish and lead internal audits of the safety program to evaluate conformance with and effectiveness of the health and safety processes and procedures
- Work with claim management and operations to ensure that all Worker's Compensation claims are filed timely.
- Work with operations managers to facilitate safety orientation for new sites or new employees.
- Conduct training to keep department personnel informed on procedures, methods, use of equipment and other quality control techniques. Through directly maintaining satisfaction of the department's requirements in the areas of staffing, orientation, communications and compliance with company policies and related regulations.
- Manage data applicable to risk management performance at a regional level. Data may include Key Performance Indicators, Total Recordable Incident Rates and Days Away to name a few.

- Provide oversight, direction, and support to operations managers, field supervisors, and employees.
- BA/BS in Safety, Engineering or related sciences preferred;
- Subject matter expertise in relevant local, state and federal EHS regulations;
- 6+ years of occupational HSE work experience, with experience in a management role overseeing multiple sites;
- Knowledge of risk recognition, assessment and control techniques;
- Effective communication and computer skills including verbal and writing reports. Use of Microsoft office;
- Experience with Fleet Management Programs;
- Conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills to enable the identification of issues and making sound decisions to determine appropriate courses of action for achieving long-range organizational goals;
- Occupational Health & Safety Certification (ASP, CSP, or CIH) a plus;
- Preference to candidates who are bilingual with English and Spanish.
- Majority of travel within California. Limited travel to surrounding regions as business dictates.
- Ability to climb ladders to access elevated areas. Able to lift 50 pounds of weight.
