Reporting to the ANZ Head of Corporate Affairs, the ANZ Communications Manager is responsible for executing the strategy for driving and protecting corporate reputation and internal communications.

Job Overview:
This role is responsible for supporting the ANZ Head of Corporate Affairs in executing the strategy for driving external corporate reputation and internal communications. It is busy and varied and includes writing internal and external communications materials, managing press office enquiries, agency liaison, corporate storytelling, brand PR and developing engaging content for owned digital channels. You’ll play an essential part in delivering internal and external communications for PepsiCo ANZ across a broad range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaison with Corporate PR agency
- Day-to-day liaison with our corporate communications agency, as a key point of contact to provide information, drive approvals through the business and report results.
- Manage WIP meetings and documentation.
Press enquiries & trade media management
- Manage incoming requests for comment, liaising with relevant stakeholders internally and crafting appropriate responses.
- Manage pro-active media opportunities, writing briefing notes and supporting spokespeople.
- Develop and own relationships with relevant food, beverage and FMCG trade media.
- Partner with marketing and other key departments to develop trade media materials. and generate media coverage for relevant business news.
- Monitor and report results within the business.
Development of content for earned media and PepsiCo-owned digital channels
- Implement a corporate communications plan of activity to proactively showcase internal and external news and initiatives to drive reputation.
- Identify and develop relevant features and news including written stories and videos.
Internal Communications
- Support high quality and engaging internal communications to corporate and frontline manufacturing employees.
- Forecast and manage internal communications calendar and content development across internal and owned channels, keeping information up to date, relevant and accessible (intranet, corporate website, Viva Engage, Town Hall meetings etc).
- Partner with individual functions to support on internal communications for key projects and provide counsel to stakeholders, making recommendations for effective communications that’s in line with best practice.
- Develop effective communications for executive leadership team including written communications, presentations and video content.
- Work with Sector and Global communications teams on key communications projects.
Brand Communications
- Partner with Legal, Nutrition and Regulatory teams to support Marketing in developing responsible brand campaigns and effective public relations activities.
- Approve influencers and social media content in accordance with internal guidelines.
About you:
- Degree level education with a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a communications role either with a PR agency or in-house team.
- Experience liaising with Australian media and a base knowledge of key print, broadcast and digital channels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience writing communications materials.
- Basic graphic design experience - developing digital communications, using Adobe Suite, Canva or similar.
- Experience working with a CMS platform - corporate website.
- Experience working with a PR agency, either through managing an agency in an in-house role or working within a communications agency.
