The group is composed of credentialed industry professionals who hold the Accredited Senior Appraisers of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and professional members of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS and FRICS). 

 

 

Job Description 

 

Our machinery & equipment valuation team is recruiting for a Financial Analyst for our Mumbai office. As a Financial Analyst, you will work on valuation models, conduct market research related to machinery & equipment pricing, technical information, data gathering and utilize this information in the analysis.  

The Financial Analyst will work with a highly talented and dedicated staff of professionals who will provide broad exposure to the nuances of machinery & equipment valuation. The environment at Houlihan Lokey is collegial and entrepreneurial and rewards Financial Analysts with substantial responsibility and interaction with senior-level professionals. 

 

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities & Deliverables: 

 

  • Valuing machinery & equipment and other personal property assets for various purposes. 

  • Working with financial valuation models and data analysis. 

  • Gathering data pertinent to valuation engagements through direct client interaction, market research, client site visits, and physical inspections and/or listings of client machinery and equipment. 

  • Conducting comprehensive research on clients, industries and markets. 

  • Work alongside Analysts, Associates, and Officers of the broader Corporate Valuation Advisory Group. 

  • Be actively involved in various client engagements, including valuation and advisory work related to investor and financial reporting, due diligence, and transaction opinions. 

  • Prepare reports and presentations for team and clients, including graphic and written sections. 

  • Assist in marketing pitches, Machinery & Equipment thought leadership articles, and other ad-hoc duties. 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate should be motivated, creative, outgoing, and possess strong financial analysis skills. 

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or another technical degree from an accredited college or university. 

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in machinery and equipment valuation. 

  • Proficiency with Excel (particularly modelling skills, writing macros, etc.), Word and PowerPoint. 

  • Demonstrate strong quantitative analytical skills, strong verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Strong attention to detail, skilled at managing workflow, handling multiple tasks, and adapting to rapidly changing priorities within a team setting. 

  • Willingness to travel.
