SUMMARY: The Division Controller is responsible for all accounting and financial reporting duties of Seaboard Energy. This position is also responsible for the daily supervision of the accounting staff and is a key member of the overall management team. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Coordination and oversight of monthly closing process for several locations and preparation of consolidated GAAP based financial statements, supporting schedules and reports. 
  • Maintaining internal control structure in coordination with parent company and COSO guidelines. 
  • Remain current on new accounting standards and ensure ongoing compliance, including research, review and implementation. 
  • Oversees billing, credit and collection for Seaboard Energy.  
  • Shared services billings for affiliated companies. 
  • Oversight of other general accounting needs including: GL, payables, payroll review. 
  • Facilitate compliance with internal and external audit requests. 
  • Management reporting including: SG&A analysis, cost center reports, financial review, development of other management reports.  
  • Participate in preparation and/or evaluation of appropriation requests for capital projects. 
  • Coordinates the annual budgeting process. 

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required, Master’s degree preferred. 
  • CPA required. 
  • Public accounting experience preferred. 
  • 10+ years progressive accounting experience required. 
  • Advanced working knowledge of excel is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects. 
  • Adaptable to change, able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. 

 

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: Monday thru Friday, working hours to be determined. Occasionally extended hours or changes in schedule will be required as special circumstances arise.
