City of Flagstaff, AZ · Flagstaff, États-Unis d'Amérique · Onsite
- Bureau à Flagstaff
About the Department
Are you someone who is ready to make a difference within their local community? If so, the City of Flagstaff is seeking a qualified Police Aide to join our team! As the City’s newest Police Aide, you will actively support and uphold the City’s stated mission and values. Under supervision of a Police Sergeant, Police Aides help investigate traffic incidents, community care-taking functions, and other low-priority calls for service that sworn police officers typically handle. The Police Aide is distinguished from the Police Officer by the fact that the Police Aide in not a sworn officer, does not carry a firearm, has no power of arrest, and does not initiate sworn police (criminal) enforcement activities (e.g. suspicious person or suspect contact, traffic stops, code 3 driving, and response to in-progress crimes). The Police Aide wears a uniform that is distinctively different and is assigned to drive a specially marked vehicle. By applying to this position, you are opening yourself to the opportunity to work in a critical division program and make a significant impact on our employees and the community we serve.
