SCOPE OF POSITION:
Under the general supervision of General Manager, executes the marketing strategy according to the direction of the corporate goals/vision. Strategic areas include but are not limited to: promotions; social media; database analytics; media placement; internal/external marketing communications at the property level.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following are major duties and are not intended to be all inclusive or restrictive.
- Contributes the marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-term issues which must be addressed.
- Write and submit rules and regulations for play, producing/obtaining/placing artwork, generating communications to internal staff and external media and participating in the implementation in order to successfully advertise casino events and promotions.
- Communicates with any contracted agency to convey corrections in copy and message and works with the Agency of Record to ensure creative designs meet the desired look. Proof all collateral and advertising copy
- Monitor the casinos’ website, including images and information, by accessing the site online periodically to verse the general layout and design, by ensuring information updates so that the most current specifics on casino promotions and special events are communicated timely and successfully.
- Ensure all internal media is updated with the most current promotions.
- Analyze and track promotional effectiveness.
- Analyze and track the effectiveness of competitors’ marketing campaigns, promotions, advertising, and other aspects of their business.
- Oversee players’ club to ensure proper guest engagement and effective communication of marketing information.
- Identifies, develops and researches opportunities for guest service improvements.
- Attends and satisfactorily completes all training as assigned by General Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:
The following are major supervisory duties and are not intended to be all-inclusive or restrictive.
- Monitors the performance of marketing employees, ensuring adherence to Casino policies and procedures.
- Provides feedback to General Manager in regard to successful or unsuccessful promotions.
- Handles problems or grievances (employees/guests) as soon as the need arises. Capable of making critical decisions. Must follow prescribed chain of command.
- Responsibilities include training employees; planning; assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.
- Fosters and maintains a positive attitude towards the staff, management, and guests.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
The Marketing Manager regularly communicates and exchanges information with coworkers and guests, and uses a computer and other office equipment. Work is performed throughout all areas of the facility where there may be flashing lights and the noise levels vary from quiet to loud depending on the time of day, the specific location and the amount of business. The Marketing Manager must be able and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and in a smoke-filled environment. The workplace is also under constant surveillance both inside and outside the facility.
The Marketing Manager may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve contentious issues with difficult guests and staff members.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor’s Degree plus two (2) years in casino experience required; and
- One (1) year in a supervisor-level position; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior working experience in a casino environment is required.
- Must have strong knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge with CNE’s Marketing system is preferred.
- Must be strong in organization and project management.
