Position: Assistant to Brew Staff

Job Classification:  Part-Time/ Variable Hour, Non-Exempt 

Reports To: Head Brewer

Work Schedule: Mornings and/or afternoons are required 3 days a week. This position works 6-10 hours per week depending on production volume, and shifts will be 2-5 hours in length. Weekend and early morning availability required.   

Summary of Role: The primary function of this role is to fill crowlers (to-go beer vessels) with house-brewed beer; it also includes cleaning tasks and some additional responsibilities, all of which are directed by the Head Brewer. The person in this role is responsible for upholding the highest quality of in-house products and providing knowledge with regard to our guest experience.

What we need from you:

• Must be age 21 or older
• A willingness to learn and follow current SOP’s
• Ability to reorganize and clean keg cooler
• Ability to move efficiently and safely through the brew house and restaurant 
• Positive attitude that remains consistent in demanding situations
• Ability to stay mentally organized while multitasking
• Ability to utilize time efficiently

Key Responsibilities: 

• Crowler Filling
• Perform side work and cleaning duties
• Communicate professionally & efficiently with guests and colleagues 
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Head Brewer or General Manager

Physical Demands: 

• Ability to safely work with hazardous materials and chemicals
• Ability to safely work on a ladder
• Ability to safely work with pressurized vessels
• Ability to be on your feet & walking for extended periods of time up to 10 hours
• Ability to climb stairs multiple times during a shift
• Ability to reach & lift above the head as needed 
• Ability to lift, balance and move items up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to lift, move and arrange full beer kegs up to 170 lbs with a partner.
• Ability to squat, bend, and twist your body as needed
• Ability to function in a work environment that is, at times, hot, loud, in tight spaces with colleagues, contains wet and slippery surfaces.
