Description
Under the supervision of the Host Home Administrator, the Host Home Admissions Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating Candeo client admissions. Responsibilities include the activities to receive and process client applications, present them for approval and facilitate all matching responsibilities. Ensure all activities contribute to Candeo achieving its mission, vision and values. The position functions independently within the constraints of organizational policy and procedure. Direction and guidance are available from the Host Home Administrator.
Requirements
Education/Training/ License/Certification Requirements
· BA in Human Services or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
· A working knowledge of person-centered planning and support is preferred
· A working knowledge of Home and Community Based Services and disability services in general
· Valid Iowa Driver’s License
· Proof of 50/100/50K Automobile Insurance
· Valid telephone and address
· Knowledge of intake and admissions process
Skills or Proficiency Requirements
· High level of literacy in spoken and written English
· High level of organizational skills
· Energetic and outgoing, first contact for Candeo
· Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills
· Ability to negotiate and handle conflict as necessary
· Ability to be flexible to meet organizational needs
· Proficient in Microsoft software and applications
· Ability to travel in counties served by Candeo
· Must be able to pass criminal history, motor vehicle, child abuse, dependent adult abuse and sex offender registry background checks
· Possess a motor vehicle that meets the required operational and maintenance guidelines, that are in accordance with the Iowa Department of Transportation motor vehicle safety standards and Candeo’s Motor Vehicle Guidelines.
