Position Summary
Records and maintains all payroll records; produces timely payroll. Must understand confidential nature of position.
Essential Functions
- Records and maintains all payroll records, downloading data to electronic accounting system.
- Produces timely payroll, including all payroll checks, direct deposits, and all associated reports; prepares manual checks as required.
- Verifies all time and attendance for all departments. Ensures all department supervisors have reviewed and approved department time and time off for each pay period.
- Uses time and attendance and payroll software in a competent and professional manner; uses other computer software (word processing, spreadsheets) as required
- Prepares, maintains, and monitors individual employee payroll deduction ledgers/schedules, child support, garnishments, company purchases, employee tips and 401(k).
- Prepares and maintains assigned payroll and finance department records and reports; specifically including pay period, monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports.
- Creates and maintains individual employee records/files.
- Assists in bi-weekly payroll processing/transmission function.
- Processes departmental tips/tokes and employee charges into payroll system.
- Processes individual PTO requests/sellbacks.
- Generates and submits 401k data by pay period.
- Generates Payroll reports to assist with budgets and other requests for payroll information.
- Processes garnishments and other required deductions.
- Job duties may include soft count responsibilities but not in a supervisory role.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
High School Diploma or GED.
Associate Degree preferred.
Experience
At least two years performing all aspects of payroll functions.
Working knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations.
Computer Skills
Microsoft Office intermediate level. proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Software payroll programs like ADP payroll.
Time & Attendance Programs.
Critical thinking and analytical skills are required.
Must pass an Excel skills test.
Certificates & Licenses
Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.

Working Conditions
Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period. Must be willing to work holidays.
