Who we are
You know those big cities that still feel like small towns? Where everyone’s friendly and helps each other out? That’s like Doane Grant Thornton. Except here we’re all professionals and there isn’t a mayor or a general store. What we’re trying to say is that we’re a large and growing professional services firm that still feels like a community. We employ about 3000 people across Canada, and we truly care about our colleagues, our clients and the communities where we work and live. That’s what’s most important to us. We’re building a thriving organization that’s purpose driven and still want to remember what your favourite milkshake flavour is.
Are you our next Coordinator, Technical Learning Programs?
Doane Grant Thornton’s Technical Learning Team is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative Learning Coordinator to support the delivery and administration of our technical training portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys organizing and streamlining processes, and is passionate about enabling learning experiences that help our colleagues grow.
You’ll work closely with other members of our Learning and Development team, program leads, facilitators, and stakeholders to coordinate blended training programs, manage LMS workflows, support webinar production, and maintain accurate records and reports. You’ll also contribute to the development of program documentation and communications, ensuring a seamless experience for learners across the firm.
As a Coordinator your responsibilities will include:
· Immerse yourself in our program delivery to coordinate dates, facilitators, learners and technology, in alignment with our program support processes and standards. Collaborate with colleagues across Canada to organize and schedule the delivery of nationwide technical learning and development programs, webinars, and virtual learning events.
· Consult with Learning and Development peers on program experience, communication strategy, and LMS setup.
· Own the successful administration and set-up of courses, sessions, and events to the Learning Management System (LMS). This includes managing enrolments, drafting communications, notifications, and invitations, in alignment with our operational procedures and data quality standards.
· Create and edit program management guides, including enrolment procedures, completion workflows, target audience definitions, and workarounds.
· Collaborate with program managers and leads to generate, maintain and validate enrolment lists. Maintain enrolment reports and procedures that integrate with our learning standards, procedures and best practices. Analyze LMS reports, cross reference Excel documents, and ensure target audiences are correctly identified.
· Develop a strong understanding of, and empathy for, the stakeholder and learner experience to make creative and innovative suggestions which will help improve, elevate and add value to programs. Every touch leaves a trace!
· Support webinar production and logistics, including dry runs and live support.
· Collaborate with Learning and Development peers, program leads and SMEs to draft and maintain a quarterly learning calendar.
· Support requests from the Learning Inbox, including access issues, completion tracking, and retrieval of course materials.
· Ensure completion of enrolment lists and follow up with stakeholders as needed.
· Conduct internal quality reviews and copy editing for training materials, ensuring consistency in spelling, punctuation, key terminology, and the proper application of brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
· Support additional learning initiatives and projects as assigned.
