Position Summary

The Transmission Program Management Office (TPMO) manages long-range planning, execution, and oversight of capital transmission projects. This Project Planning Analyst position supports the PETE application and TPMO by analyzing data from project applications, assisting in system maintenance, and identifying potential process improvements. This role works under close supervision and contributes to the team’s overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides analytical support for Transmission Capital project data, assisting the team in understanding application outputs and identifying trends.
  • Assists in the maintenance and troubleshooting of project management applications, often under guidance.
  • Supports the development of internal controls and processes to improve the accuracy and reliability of data within project applications.
  • Gathers data from internal and external groups, often through application interfaces, to support project analysis and issue resolution, with guidance from senior team members.
  • Assists in monitoring the PETE application, identifying potential data discrepancies, process or system performance issues.
  • Learns and applies data analysis tools to translate data into actionable information. Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Provides analytical support for Transmission Capital project data, supporting the team in understanding application outputs and identifying trends.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots project management applications, identifying and resolving data discrepancies and performance issues.
  • Supports the development and implementation of internal controls and processes to improve the accuracy and reliability of data within project applications.
  • Coordinates with internal and external groups to gather data, support project analysis, and resolve issues, often utilizing application interfaces.
  • Monitors a portfolio of released transmission projects, identifying potential data discrepancies or system performance issues and escalating concerns as needed.
  • Utilizes data analysis tools to translate data into actionable information that supports Transmission Capital Program goals.
  • Assists in the documentation of application processes and user guides. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills:

  • Ability to create and analyze various reports and summaries.
  • Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of working with people of diverse backgrounds and varying levels of experience.
  • Must have organizational and multi-tasking skills to effectively manage large volumes of work.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office suite including Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required with 1 year of experience in application, data, or technical analysis.
  • Applicants with a college degree in a related field  are encouraged to apply.

  • Accurate and timely reporting and dashboards
  • Able to handle and provide timely progress reports on multiple concurrent projects with ease. 
  • Providing solutions to stakeholders that streamlines and builds efficiency in processes and aids in intelligent decision making.
