Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position:
The QC Inspector Technician is responsible for ensuring raw materials, components, sub-assemblies, and finished products meet the required quality standards and specifications as defined by the Quality Management System (QMS). This position plays a critical role in upholding Magnetic Component Engineering's commitment to delivering high-quality products by conducting thorough inspections and collaborating to address quality concerns.

•Perform detailed inspections of aerospace components and assemblies, including first articles non-conformance reporting, and in-process audits, driving continuous improvement in quality processes ensuring adherence to industry standards, including ISO 9001, AS9100, and other relevant quality management systems.
•Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other measurement instruments to measure dimensions and tolerances accurately.
•Interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), applying advanced understanding to evaluate product conformance.
•Develop and operate programs for visons systems and CMM’s with fixturing and setup photos with approval of the Supervisor.
•Assist in detailed documentation procedures to ensure inspection results and reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with internal and external requirements.
•Provide assistance with calibration activities, ensuring that measuring tools are calibrated according to industry standards and regulations. Maintain calibration records of reference checks on all critical automated equipment in conjunction with the Calibration technician.
•Collaborate with engineers, production staff, and other team members to address quality concerns and drive improvements.
•Utilize Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications to document inspection results, analyze data, and create reports as needed.
•Performing additional duties as assigned to support quality initiatives.
Hourly Rate:$27-$30
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
•High School diploma or equivalent is required.
•3+ years’ experience properly reading and interpreting gages, inspection instruments and inspection techniques to determine part conformance.
•Must have intermediate or above ability to read, interpret and calculate stacked blueprint GD&T dimensions to determine if a part is manufactured within customer or company specifications.
•Skilled in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines (e.g., mills, lathes).
oAbility to troubleshoot machining issues and assist in corrective actions.
•Advanced knowledge of ERP systems; experience with Epicor is a strong advantage.
