We are currently seeking a Sr. Construction Inspector II for onsite client support work at Holloman AFB, New Mexico.

What You’ll Do:

This role will focus on quality assurance during all three (3) phases of control (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up) for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Construction Contractor fulfills contract and schedule requirements and complies with Quality Control and Health & Safety Plans.
  • Monitor construction progress, attend construction management/review meetings, and evaluate schedule compliance.
  • Provide recommendations for schedule adherence and assist the Government COR with validation and review of progress payments.
  • Provide Title II observation coverage during all construction activities, notifying the COR if coverage cannot be maintained.
  • Promptly report unsatisfactory work, both verbally and in writing.
  • Enforce labor standards and contract compliance.
  • Support project closeout by observing and documenting pre-final/final inspections and testing of systems.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed written records of project progress as required by the SOW.
  • Submit daily reports to the COR on project status, logs, and updates.
  • Review documentation and correspondence from the Construction Contractor, including RFIs, submittals, payment requests, schedules, and claims.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent; 5 years of experience or 10 years of experience as a construction inspector as a Lead Inspector can substitute for the degree.
  • Minimum 15 years construction inspection experience.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in construction practices, procedures, and testing, to include three (3) years of quality control management of DoD construction projects.
  • Certified completion of a professionally accredited Quality Control Management Course (e.g., conducted by the US Army Corps of Engineers or an independent private company) within the last five (5) years; Contractor’s self-developed programs will not fulfill this requirement.
  • Technical expertise to perform payment inspections and validation of progress against the AF IMT 3065 forms.
