What to Expect

The Manager, Financial Reporting is responsible for leading a team and the overall management and execution of the external reporting requirements of HCA for both US GAAP and IFRS, including management of quarterly reviews and annual audit requirements executed by the external auditors, including but not limited to financial, compliance and investor reporting related to HCA’s financial results. In addition, this role is responsible for technical accounting research on new pronouncements and new product initiatives.

 

What You Will Do

1.      Financial Reporting Activities

  • Oversee and execute on all financial reporting activities related to US GAAP and IFRS including but not limited to producing quarterly/annual financial statements with related disclosures, investor relations reporting, state licensing filings and legal entity level reporting for the Korean FSS regulatory body.
  • Develop financial analyses and metrics, coordinate with parent companies on consolidation matters and other reporting matters related to IFRS requirements.

2.      Audit Oversight

  • Manage and execute quarterly financial statements reviews and annual audits performed by the company’s external auditors including but not limited to managing PBC lists for quarterly reviews, entity-level control testing, process walkthroughs and interim/annual audit work.
  • Manage the execution within the Financial Reporting team and collaborate across the Accounting & Tax department as well as various business departments (i.e. Treasury, Servicing/Operations, Remarketing).

3.      Technical Accounting

  • Research technical accounting topics, including analysis of business impact, solutions for implementation and drafting technical accounting memos.
  • Assist with the documentation of new desktop procedures, general ledger mapping and all other ad hoc requests regarding assigned technical accounting matters.

4.      Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with ICFR standards by self and within the Financial Reporting team, including assessing existing controls, remediation of identified gaps and holding team accountable for adherence to KSOX controls.
  • Identify, manage and mitigate financial reporting, compliance and operational risks, promote effective financial controls and operation efficiency.

5.      Lead, mentor, and develop team members by providing direction, performance feedback, and support to ensure effective collaboration, professional growth, and achievement of organizational and personal goals.


What You Will Bring

·        Minimum 5-7 years of relevant financial reporting and accounting experience required with emphasis in the automotive or financial services industries preferred.

·        Prior public audit experience (or equivalent) strongly desired.

·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.

·        CPA/MBA strongly desired.

·        Broad technical accounting background and a solid understanding of US GAAP and IFRS

·        Problem solver and strong decision-making abilities.

·        Strong knowledge of interaction of Balance Sheet accounts to the Income Statement and the Cash Flow.

·        Solid knowledge of intercompany accounting including ability to identify when intercompany receivables/payables must eliminate and the impact on consolidated reporting.

·        Strong leadership and teamwork skills with the ability to lead staff to complete assignments.

·        Strong analytical, presentation, communication, and organizational skills.

·        Strong interpersonal skills to work directly with the external auditors and cross-collaborate with various business functions to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting. 

·        Self-starter and highly motivated.

·        Strong personal computer skills with advanced MS Excel skills.

·        Ability to establish a high level of credibility with all levels of internal stakeholders.

·        High energy and ability to work in a fast-paced corporate environment.

 

Work Environment

Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, and using a computer. Work is performed in an office environment.

The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
