The Cashier:
- Is focused on the process of understanding and meeting customer needs
- Must have basic knowledge of accounting software
- Should know the basic models of vehicle sold
- Should demonstrate sensitivity towards customers and a strong interest in exceeding customer’s expectations.
- Must have polished communications skills with customers, in order to talk to customers regarding their questions and needs
- Must work with all department heads and staff in a competent manner with decorum
- Must work with the receptionist to serve as a fill-in if needed.
- Is capable of addressing the possibility of missing paperwork.
- Presents a positive image of the retail facility and the brand, both in mode of dress and in a helpful and positive attitude.
Requirements
- Entails knowing the entire retail facility thoroughly, department to department
- Involves continually learning about how to relate to customers and their needs and wants
- Requires building strong interdepartmental relationships
- Involves risk and satisfaction, long hours, and teamwork.
- Involves being cross-trained to various departments as fill-in help as needed
- Ability to convey the proper paperwork, ie, internals, warranty, to the appropriate departments for completion.
