Description
The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA’s) is a dedicated compassionate person who will provide direct supports to 3-4 individuals in their home setting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in delivering basic care, completing documentation, and ensuring a safe and clean environment.
Essential Qualifications
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certifications:
- Valid State CNA License
- Must successfully complete an initial orientation including CPR, Positive Behavior Interventions, and a medication administration course.
- Valid Missouri chauffeur's license required within the first two weeks of employment; must maintain acceptable driving status according to Procedure No. 1-8-3, Woodhaven Vehicle Use.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with individuals supported, heir families, and staff.
- Experience working as a CNA
- Strong attention to detail and communication
- Must have no felony convictions listed on the Department of Mental Health disqualification registry unless an approved exception exists.
Essential Physical Requirements
- This is primarily physical work requiring exertion of 50 pounds or more of force and frequent fine motor skills.
- Tasks require grasping, repetitive motions, vocal communication, and hearing.
- Visual acuity is needed for data preparation, machine operation, and general observation.
Some homes may require lifting a minimum of 50 pounds. Please consult with the supervisor for specific requirements.
