SUMMARY:

The Internal Audit Supervisor is responsible for supervising internal audit staff to ensure engagement work is complete, accurate and conforms with internal auditing standards. Exercise independent judgment in analyzing and interpreting internal auditing standards, laws, policies, and other information available. This position is responsible for ensuring audit objectives are satisfied and that audits are completed efficiently and address relevant risks. You will monitor each engagement’s time, budgets and modify audit procedures as necessary to minimize engagement risks. You will also assist the Director of Internal Audit with the annual planning and risk assessment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct audit fieldwork in accordance with established audit plans and industry regulations
  • Conduct internal training sessions to share knowledge and best practices
  • At project level, perform people management related tasks such as coaching and project performance evaluations
  • Perform reviews and provide coaching notes for all audits
  • Work independently and ensure work is completed on time and in keeping with professional standards
  • Perform and document work such as procedure development, walkthroughs and controls testing in accordance with Internal Audit standards
  • Assist in drafting reports to formally communicate results of testing to stakeholders
  • Maintain, track and communicate project status to stakeholders
  • Mentor and supervise junior auditors, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Travel to all casino locations required (25%)

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related business field required
  • Four (4) years of professional auditing experience required
  • Certification or in the process of pursuing a relevant certification (CPA, CIA, CFE, CISA)
