The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct resident care, assisting the resident to reach and maintain the highest level of functioning under the direction of a Registered Nurse in accordance with physician’s orders, company and industry standards and federal and state regulations. Encourages and promotes resident’s ability to adapt and adjust to living independently as speedily and safely as possible.
The Medication Aide provides medication administration for residents in assigned area in a timely manner following all policies and procedures of the Medication Administration guidelines and under the direction of a Registered Nurse in accordance with physician’s orders, company and industry standards and federal and state regulations. Works under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
Administer medication as directed in the Medication Administration policies and procedures except injections, medication given by g-tube, j-tube or nasogastic tubes and IV medications.
Minimum education:
High School graduate or G.E.D.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of three (3) months work experience in basic nursing procedures for nursing assistants.
Successfully completed the Certified Nursing Assistant program and has current certification and required in-services.
Minimum age of 18 years or older is required for this position due to Department of Labor regulations.
Shift differential up to $6 per hour
