Job Description:

This position is responsible for managing and supervising the OI AMN Lab. This Includes prioritizing daily activities, work assignments, approving AOQ Lab project reports, calibration and maintaining AOQ Lab testing equipment.

This position is also accountable for providing relevant data to support product development and performance. Position develops project engineers to understand measurement and quality systems.

Responsibilities: 

  • Mentoring, and training the QDP Project Engineers. 
  • Directing the testing/ measurement of glass containers
  • Insuring that AOQ Project Reports are accurate and complete and that the conclusions accurately reflect testing data.
  • Reviewing AOQ Lab SOP’s for set-up, verification, proper operation and maintenance of standard measurement gauges, testing equipment and test methods
  • Participating on company teams regarding improving container quality and performance.
  • Directing the preparing of analytical reports and presentations involving glass container quality metrics and customer quality issues
  • Identifying test methods for advanced performance
  • Ensure control plans are accurate and up to date
  • Review/Identify new metrology equipment for AOQ lab
  • Manage and assign project work load to project engineers
  • Assist in scheduling project engineer travel and training opportunities
  • Manage XRF measurements and system requirements for OIAN
  • Updating and managing the documentation for the AOQ Quality & Food Safety Management System.

Travel: up to 20% 

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience and / or training
  • 7-15 years combined experience
  • 5+ years in related work (ex: QST, Assistant Quality Manager)

Salary Range:  The expected salary range for this position will be between $80,000 - $90,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
