Modified Soccer Assistant Coach

Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Player Development
Assist the Head Coach in organizing and leading team practices, drills, and conditioning programs.
Teach and refine soccer skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, defending, and positional play.
Provide individualized coaching to help student-athletes develop their skills and confidence.
Support the team in game preparation, including analyzing opponents and developing strategies.
Promote a positive team culture that emphasizes effort, respect, and teamwork.
Program Support & Administration
Assist with game day preparation, including setup, travel arrangements, and logistics.
Ensure compliance with NYSPHSAA (New York State Public High School Athletic Association) regulations and school athletic policies.
Help maintain and inventory soccer equipment and uniforms.
Communication & Team Development
Serve as a role model and mentor for student-athletes.
Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff.
Assist in monitoring student-athletes’ academic progress and encourage academic success.
Qualifications
Must meet New York State coaching certification requirements, including First Aid, CPR, and Concussion Management training.
