Alta Genetics is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to join our Custom Program Administration team, coordinating the import and export of semen and embryos for clients around the world. This includes executing the full order-to-invoice process and serving as a key point of customer service to both domestic and international customers. The role is ideal for someone with strong logistics or supply chain experience, and preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of the Artificial Insemination, Embryo Transfer, and/or Seedstock industry. Responsibilities:
- Coordinating with domestic and international clients, and embryo transfer centers for the assembly and shipping of semen and embryos through Alta to International destinations.
- Assisting the distribution team with the receipt of the product. Identify product and paperwork for accuracy and testing integrity in compliance with CFIA and export regulations.
- Coordinating and approving consignments with importers.
- Full cycle order processing as per the established process - order receipt, processing, inventory management, and invoicing.
- Determine the eligibility of products and update customers with product availability.
- Coordinate with URUS logistics team to authorize and legalize all export-related documents. (e.g. Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificate of Origin, Health Certificate, etc.)
- Coordinate all freight flow, clearance and delivery of import and export goods with the URUS Logistics team.
- Monitor and track all incoming and outgoing shipments to final destinations.
- Resolve problems concerning transportation, imports or exports, or customer issues.
- Seasonal support for client services calls for domestic orders and inquiries.
- Back up support for the Custom Program Administration.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of supply chain/logistics/administration experience in an office environment.
- Preference to individuals with knowledge of the Artificial Insemination/ET and Seedstock industry.
- Strong and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills to coordinate multiple tasks and projects.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address contentious issues and ensure collaborative problem solving with a resolution.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of teamwork.
- Ability to adapt quickly, be flexible, and manage change effectively.
- Proficient in MS Office software.
- Previous experience with major ERP system is an asset.
