GEA Group in York, PA is searching for a Senior Director of Finance to join our Leadership Team!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the finance function in the entity / reporting unit

  • Align commercial expectations with the local Managing Directors in order to translate business plans into finance plans

  • Deliver high-quality finance support and consultancy to managers in the entity

  • Provide Division CFO, Business Unit CFO and Country Management with performance data, reports and analytics

  • Analyze value-drivers on entity-level, develop and establish financial and non-financial KPIs

  • Manage the Cost center planning and reporting processes

  • Prepare budget review meetings and monthly results forecasts

  • Support internal performance initiatives (e.g., working capital improvement, cost efficiency programs, …) and monitor long-term effect

  • Ensure on-time reporting to GEA / Division

  • Prepare year-end accounts

  • Be first point of contact for auditors

  • Manage local tax affairs

  • Organize internal controls (risk management/compliance)

Your Profile / Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting, plus 5-7+ years of extensive experience within Operational Finance OR

  • Bachelor's degree plus 10-15 years of experience

  • Advanced knowledge and skills in accounting or controlling

  • Deep understanding of all systems that interact across the spectrum of Finance

  • Strong financial modeling skills as well as business and data analysis skills

  • Understanding of other than just financial matters

  • Deep business understanding

  • Ability to manage statutory requirements

  • Analytical abilities, problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically 

  • Excellent communication skills

  • An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational skills

  • A track record in leading a team

  • Strong top line and target orientation with a strong people orientation

  • Intercultural experience & skills

  • Interpersonal skills (power of persuasion, conviction and well-argued reasoning, proven to maintain & build up relationships and networks with relevant decision makers and stakeholders)

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $144,480.00 - 184,000.00 per year.  GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.

The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.  You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
