SUMMARY

Responsible for painting trailers to meet quality standards. Position utilizes HVLP paint process.

3 Day Weekend Work - Friday, Saturday & Sunday

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
  • Follow prescribed procedures and guidelines.
  • Assemble items as instructed by floor supervisor.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
  • Follow all company rules and policies.
  • Provide a high level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
  • Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
  • Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
  • Clean-up work area daily.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques involved in the effective manufacture of goods a plus.
  • Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds consistently required
  • Must have the ability to use and read a tape measure
  • Ability to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form.
  • Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic.
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to be at work on time

Carry-On Trailer is looking for outstanding applicants to join our team.

Summary –

Carry-On Trailer is in need of spray painters!  The successful candidate will spray paint trailers and trailer frames.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities –

The ability to work as a team, follow direction and complete tasks as assigned by Supervisor

Knowledgeable in operation of all equipment required for surface preparation, primer and topcoat application.

Cleaning and maintaining of all equipment and booths.

Ability to operate machinery and equipment to both prime and spray paint trailers.

Make paint rework repairs as needed.

Employee must be able to perform this work wearing a respirator.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications –

The successful candidate will be able to proficiently perform each of the duties listed above.  Painters will be evaluated on their ability to create a finished trailer that does not need to be repaired.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly be required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  Employee is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.  Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.  Specific vision abilities by this job include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

Work Environment –

The work environment characteristics could be, but are not limited to:

The employee will be standing for most of the workday.  Temperature will vary with the outside temperature.  The employee will be working in “hot” areas, specifically the spray booth.  The employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The noise level in the work environment is loud.
