Job Summary
The Director of HR Shared Services & HRIS is a strategic role that will drive significant impact across the entire organization while advancing the HR operating model to achieve scale, efficiency and a positive Associate experience. This leader will transform James Avery’s central HR operations, overseeing the delivery of core HR services such as payroll, benefits and Associate and Leader support through a tiered service-level approach. Focuses on managing the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) for data integrity, compliance, efficiency and process improvement. Develops and executes comprehensive strategies for HR shared services and HRIS supporting organizational goals and objectives to simplify and streamline HR processes while enhancing the overall Associate experience.
WHAT IS REQUIRED:
- Service Delivery: Establishes the strategic vision of a service level tier structure supported by technology optimization and process mapping to enhance the Associates’ and Leader’s experience as they engage with HR solutions and services. Collaborates with HR business partners and Centers of Expertise to identify current and proposed processes for implementation. Develops and monitors metrics to measure performance of operations.
- HR Technology: Oversees the development and execution of a long-term HR Technology Roadmap, enabling automation, improved data access, and integrated systems. Ensures optimal utilization across all HR Systems.
- Analytics and Insights: Defines and executes the enterprise-wide People Analytics strategy aligned with HR and company goals. Establishes a solid foundation of data structure and data integrity to take advantage of automation and future AI capabilities. Using business intelligence and data visualization techniques, translates complex data into compelling, actionable stories tailored for key stakeholder decision-making across the business.
- Strategic Leadership: Enable strategic change aligned to business needs by supporting all aspects of the development and implementation of workforce and human capital processes and People strategies. Works collaboratively with cross functional business partners to develop and execute HR initiatives that align with company needs.
- Operations Compliance: Ensures the team's compliance with all relevant and applicable regulatory requirements, employment laws, and company policies. Provides oversight and guidance to audits, data security policy and all other HR regulatory reporting related matters.
- Associate and Leader Engagement: Demonstrates a willingness to immerse oneself in the operational realities of the business by traveling to manufacturing sites and/or market locations, to cultivate collaboration and alignment.
- Financial Management: Develops and oversees respective budgets, establishes budgetary priorities and maintains sound fiscal management. Oversees monthly Program financials and provides commentary on variances.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
- 8 years’ related experience encompassing a broad range of shared services or human resources functions.
- 5 years’ experience serving in a leadership role managing HR teams with the ability to drive operational execution and foster a positive work environment.
- Experience implementing and managing HR data and systems.
- Knowledge of data visualization techniques to share actionable business insights.
- Knowledge of HR workflow, regulatory, and compliance requirements across the employee lifecycle, with the capability to develop rigorous, highly efficient, compliant workflows, processes, and standard operating procedures.
- Focused approach to drive complex, or multiple simultaneous projects to successful completion with agility to pivot based on business needs.
- Experience in leading organizational transformation and change management.
- Track record of working with numbers and financial data to drive decision-making.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and HRIS or similar systems.
- Must be able to travel to local work locations and/or markets as business needs require.
- Ability to meet conflicting employment guidelines.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.
