Shenandoah National Park offers over 200,000 acres of protected lands with lots to explore including cascading waterfalls, spectacular vistas, and quiet wooded hollows. Responsibilities:- Paint, hang, and repair drywall as needed, and install shelves, hooks, and closet rods
- Change light bulbs, replace fixtures, open clogged drains, and repair leaks
- Perform lawn maintenance, including mowing and removing weeds
- Ensure tools and equipment are in working order, and keep the maintenance room in neat condition
- Assist with loading or unloading trucks of maintenance parts and supplies
This position requires driving a company vehicle on a daily basis
- No high school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in general maintenance and repair required
- Previous experience with fire and boiler heat systems preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be plumbing, electrical, or HVAC certified
- Frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, and kneeling
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds
- Standing and walking 100% of the time
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather
