The Microbiologist will work onsite at our state of art Innovation and Manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem, NC. Will lead all aspects of and ensure quality control while offering technical assistance for production through microbiological analysis of raw materials and finished products. Provide technical support to other corporate groups including Research and Development and Global Licensing.
• Test raw materials, finished products, environment, and equipment for microbial contamination.
• Perform preservative efficacy testing.
• Assist in trouble shooting production problems.
• Provide assistance in training personnel.
• Prepare and standardize all reagents.
• Follow GMP and applicable regulation for the products and processes
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Validate procedures used in the micro lab.
• Assist in the development of microbiological specifications for new product introductions.
• Prepare and present technical reports to managers, co-workers, and customers.
• Other duties as assigned by Management

Experience:
• 2 – 5 years s of laboratory experience in a pharmaceutical or related industry.
Education:
• Bachelor of Science in Microbiology or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Quality Control in healthcare or pharmaceutical Industry
• 5 years of QC background
