Reports to: Donor Recruitment Manager 

Pay Range: $17-$18.75/hourly

Pay Grade: 4

Work Modality: On-site 


Job Summary

The Donor Recruitment Specialist plays a critical role in supporting CCBC’s collection targets by securing donor appointments through strategic outbound and inbound calling. This role focuses on building long-term donor relationships, aligning communication with campaign goals, and consistently meeting daily call volume and appointment-setting targets.  


Essential Responsibilities

  • Communicate daily with the Donor Recruitment Manager to review product needs and prioritize outreach strategies
  • Conduct high-volume outbound calling to current, lapsed, and prospective donors for whole blood, platelets, plasma, and double red cell donations
  • Schedule donor appointments that support daily and weekly mobile and fixed-site collection goals
  • Deliver mission-aligned, persuasive messaging to donors, emphasizing the importance of donation, different donation types, and local patient impact
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound donor inquiries
  • Log all donor interactions accurately using current scheduling tools 
  • Maintain donor confidentiality and comply with privacy, ethical, and regulatory standards
  • Report recurring donor feedback, objections, or questions to the supervisor for campaign and training improvement
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize shift coverage and achieve department-wide performance targets
  • Demonstrates alignment with and adherence to the company’s core values in all interactions, decisions, and work activities; serves as a role model for fostering a positive, respectful, and ethical workplace culture
  • This position requires consistent, on-time attendance in accordance with company policy. Excessive tardiness or absenteeism may impact performance and employment status. 
  • Employees in this role are entitled and expected to take compliant meal and rest periods in accordance with California law.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED, required 
  • 1 year of working in a customer service position, required
  • Experience working in a call center, preferred
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license, and a clean driving history with no major violations in the last five years


Skills:

  • Ability to convey and receive verbal and written information in a clear manner
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Work, Excel)
  • Ability to excel in a collaborative team environment to achieve goals
  • Self-directed, goal-oriented, and team-focused.
  • Bilingual or multilingual (Spanish, Punjabi, English and Hmong) to serve our diverse donor community


Physical Requirements:

  • Constant computer use (keyboard, mouse)
  • Constant sitting 
  • Infrequent standing
  • Infrequent walking 
  • Infrequent handling (holding, light grasping) 


Working Environment:

  • Constant working in close proximity to others 
  • Indoor, climate-controlled environment
  • Low to moderate noise level
