We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join our team. This role involves reading various Bills-Of-Material (BOMs) throughout the shift, locating and staging raw materials and supplies in the warehouse, and using a forklift to organize materials by batch. The successful candidate will weigh individual bags for blend accuracy and use strong math skills to ensure staged orders meet production requirements.

Responsibilities

  1. Read and interpret customer orders.
  2. Weigh and cut bags accurately.
  3. Complete move sheets and make inventory moves according to guidelines.
  4. Adhere to all safety, food safety, and other relevant policies and procedures.
  5. Perform additional tasks as requested by the supervisor and assist in other areas as needed.
  6. Execute all other duties of the Warehouse Team, including but not limited to:
    • Inventory counting
    • Stretch-wrapping
    • Staging finished product shipments
    • Shipping finished products
    • Returning raw materials and supplies
    • Receiving inbound products and creating receiving paperwork
  7. Work overtime or flexible hours as required.
  8. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Several years of warehouse experience and proficiency in driving a forklift are strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read orders in English and communicate effectively with co-workers.
  • Positive interaction skills with plant and office personnel; solution-oriented with the ability to ask questions, conduct research, and resolve issues constructively.
  • Strong numerical skills for accurate matching and recording.
  • Highly organized and meticulous.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.
  • Capable of standing and walking throughout the warehouse during shift which could be 8 to 12 hours daily.

 

 

Work Environment

 

  • Willingness to always wear the required safety gear (hair net, beard cover, ear plugs, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety mask in areas required).
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, and move around for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
  • Physical Strength: Exerts up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical Movement: Occasional climbing, stooping (bending body forward and down), crouching (bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine), reaching (extending arms and hands in any direction), and handling (seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands).
