Purpose of This Role
The ICFR Champion (US Region) will play a central role in embedding a strong internal control culture across the organization. This position
supports the development and execution of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), ensuring alignment with global standards and
regulatory expectations. By working closely with stakeholders across North America and the global ICFR team, the role helps drive consistency,
transparency, and accountability in financial processes. Through training, collaboration, and risk-based assessments, the ICFR Champion
contributes to safeguarding the integrity of financial reporting and enabling informed decision-making. This role reports to the ICFR Excellence
Lead and will be based out of the North America Support Center office in Bethesda, MD.


Responsibilities
• Contribute to the design and implementation of internal control frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with ICFR standards.
• Assist in conducting top-down risk assessments and defining the scope of ICFR activities across key financial processes.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify critical data used in controls and support the ICFR team in developing effective mitigation
strategies.
• Deliver training, guidance, and ongoing support to the ICFR Community and key stakeholders across the North America region.
• Collaborate with process owners to document and maintain process narratives, flowcharts, risk-control matrices, and related documentation.
• Conduct research on regulatory developments and industry best practices to ensure compliance and inform internal updates.
• Prepare and present reports on ICFR status, audit findings, and remediation progress to senior leadership and the global ICFR team.
What We Are Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

• 4–5 years of experience in internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), preferably within retail, consumer goods, or F&B sectors.
• Strong understanding of financial statement risks, disclosure requirements, and management assertions.
• Proven ability to assess end-to-end processes and identify key risks and control gaps.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence in engaging senior stakeholders and large audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint); familiarity with MS Visio, Power BI, or Alteryx is a plus.
• Experience with GRC platforms for ICFR self-assessment and testing; Workiva knowledge is advantageous.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a global environment.
