Primary Purpose

Provides administrative and clerical support to the Quality Assurance (QA) department. Maintains accurate documentation, supports audits and inspections, communicates with cross-functional teams, and ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and organizing QA documentation, including data entry into QA databases, spreadsheets, and tracking systems.
  • Supporting internal and external audits by preparing documents and ensuring files are audit-ready
  • Communicating with USDA, production, sanitation, and maintenance teams regarding QA requirements.
  • Performing general office duties such as answering phones, scheduling, coordinating meetings, updating calendars, and preparing correspondence and reports.
  • Supporting QA team with clerical tasks, reporting, and daily operational needs.
  • Assisting with departmental projects, company events, travel arrangements, and other duties as assigned.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of compliance records.

Work Schedule

  • Standard shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Must be flexible with hours and able to adjust schedule based on business and departmental needs, including time spent on the production floor.
  • Occasional Saturday work required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in Business Management or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of administrative support, clerical, or QA/food safety experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with QA systems a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance preferred (training available).
