About the Role: The HR Generalist provides comprehensive HR support across multiple functions and serves as a key partner to the Novi, MI management team. Reporting to the VP of People & Development, this role supports the full employee lifecycle and contributes to HR initiatives across both the Novi and Buffalo sites.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with managers and employees on HR-related matters including employee relations, policy adherence, and performance management.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, offers, onboarding, and compliance; assist with senior-level recruitment initiatives as needed.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including open enrollment, FMLA, and disability processes.
  • Process and support multi-state payroll (via ADP) including tax compliance, reporting, and year-end reconciliation.
  • Support HR-related training initiatives and ensure compliance with required regulatory and company training.
  • Assist with HRIS processes including data entry, ATS, SuccessFactors, payroll, and reporting.
  • Partner with leadership to coordinate employee engagement activities and company events (town halls, holiday parties, picnics, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations (OSHA, EEO, Wage & Hour, ERISA, Workers’ Compensation).
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies, programs, and special projects.
  • Perform other HR support duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of HR generalist or recruiting experience required.
  • Knowledge of HR practices including talent acquisition, benefits administration, and employment law.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with HRIS/Payroll systems (ADP, SuccessFactors, ATS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Some travel required.
