Position Summary
Concordia University seeks applicants for a full-time, twelve-month faculty position in Sport and Hospitality Business in the Batterman School of Business beginning in January 2026 (if available). Rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position reports directly to the Chair of Undergraduate Business and is located on the Mequon, WI campus.
This successful candidate will teach courses in Sport and Entertainment Business and/or in Hospitality and Event Business. The candidate taking this position will play an important role in building and growing one of the largest Sport and Hospitality programs in the region, which also includes leveraging local-to-international partnerships.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Exhibit and model traits consistent with Christian servant leadership, business professionalism, and lifelong learning
- Teach assigned undergraduate business courses (in sport and entertainment business and/or hospitality and event business), and possibly graduate courses related to sport and entertainment business
- Exhibit commitment to the growth of the Sport and Hospitality Business program through ongoing professional networking, advocating on behalf of the program and deserving students, and the initiation and management of multiple student recruitment/retention strategies
- Assist and support the Chair with programmatic coordination and administrative functions including but not limited to:
- Assist with the development or revision of course schedules
- Revise of current course curriculum or development of new courses
- Proactively cultivate professional partnerships within associated industries, as well as in local, regional, national and international markets
- Advocate on behalf of the university and its students within these partnerships and associated industries and markets
- Participate in local/regional/national/international field experiences with students from CUW
- Attend orientation and faculty and university/school/department meetings
- Hold regular office hours and advise students on their academic degree plans
- Participate in appropriate service and scholarship activities
- Serve on University and school committees
- Other duties that align with the University and School of Business strategic priorities

Education and Experience
Candidates must either possess an earned terminal degree (doctorate) in business or equivalent or hold a Master's Degree in Business. Ideally, these degrees (Master's or Doctorate) will emphasize sport management, or hospitality or related field. A broad-based business education, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and successful management-level business experience are vital qualifications. Applicants must be an active member of a Christian church.
