REPORTS TO:

Logistics Manager

 

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

The Logistics Coordinator II is responsible for the entire shipment process which includes, shipment documentation, scheduling of transportation and ensuring materials are picked up and delivered to our customers on time. The role will manage the administration and day-to-day logistics by evaluating different transport options, analyzing to optimize the cost and number of trucks / containers needed based on the required schedule. The role would be expected to review, improve processes and procedures relating to product distribution, cargo composition and storage.

MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Manage the a day-to-day of transportation of goods and supplies 
  • Schedule and coordinate trucks and shipping partners for pickup and delivery
  • Ensure on-time delivery of goods and supplies.
  • Work with Shipping Department to obtain weights and dimensions, DG forms, and other items necessary for shipment scheduling
  • Prepare both domestic and international documents for shipments
  • Scan and distribute shipment documentation to internal and external customers
  • Prepare shipping department metrics
  • Process material orders 
  • Collaborate with team members from different departments to organize materials and necessary paperwork for shipments
  • Prepare daily ship schedule report and attend daily/bi-weekly meetings
  • Prepare daily invoice and tracking reports
  • Solicit shipment quotations from transportation companies and communicate to internal customers for approval
  • Utilize carrier portals where available
  • Generate additional shipping labels as required by customer
  • Recommends and develop processes and procedures relating to product distribution, cargo composition and storage.

 

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school or equivalent experience 
  • 1 to 3 years of experience with logistics, inventory management and/or service operations
  • Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbally) in English
  • Able to work and communicate with multiple teams
  • Maintain work areas in a neat, orderly and safe manner
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 is preferable
  • Strong proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office suite
  • Experience with The International Air Transport Association Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATADGR) is preferable 
  • Follow safety procedures for PPE (personal protection equipment)

SALARY RANGE: $26.13 - $34.84 DOE
