POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Manager serves as the primary point of contact for Loan Officers regarding marketing strategy, support, and training. This role is responsible for overseeing marketing-related inquiries, managing marketing materials and platforms, leading strategic content initiatives, and facilitating training programs for Loan Officers. The Marketing Manager focuses on campaign development, creative strategy, and field-facing support while providing guidance and oversight to ensure the Marketing Assistant and other team resources execute daily tasks effectively. This role requires someone who is highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of service to internal and external people.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Loan Officer Marketing Support & Training

  • Serve as the go-to contact for Loan Officers regarding marketing strategies and resources.
  • Develop and lead Loan Officer training sessions on marketing tools, best practices, and available resources.
  • Provide creative and strategic support for custom marketing requests.
  • Collaborate with the Implementation Manager to align Loan Officer adoption and campaign usage with broader strategy.

Content Creation & Campaign Development

  • Lead planning and execution of quarterly campaigns, journeys, blogs, and email marketing initiatives.
  • Direct and approve content drafted by the Marketing Assistant (blogs, emails, collateral, and social posts).
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop content strategies that align with company goals and initiatives.
  • Ensure all content reflects brand voice, values, and compliance requirements.
  • Analyze and report performance of content-driven initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed.

Branch Visit Coordination

  • Coordinate and plan branch visits, including scheduling and presentations.
  • Provide strategic presentations and supporting materials for branch visits.
  • Gather feedback from Loan Officers during visits to inform future marketing strategies.

Marketing Material & Content Management

  • Oversee the Marketing Inbox, ensuring requests are resolved efficiently (Assistant manages day-to-day).
  • Review and approve marketing support requests handled by the Assistant.
  • Guide execution of digital marketing packages and social media plans.
  • Review and approve third-party social media content calendars.

Marketing Materials, Merchandise & Inventory Management

  • Direct and oversee distribution of marketing materials and merchandise.
  • Manage relationships with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Provide strategic input into merchandise selection and branding opportunities.
  • Oversee event-related requests and ensure consistency in brand presentation.

Corporate & Cultural Event Support

  • Strategically support corporate and cultural events, ensuring alignment with brand goals.
  • Provide direction for event coverage and cultural storytelling (photos, highlights, content).

Department & Team Leadership

  • Provide oversight and guidance to the Marketing Assistant to ensure smooth daily operations (inventory, requests, logistics, reporting).
  • Partner with the Director of Marketing and Implementation Manager to streamline processes and improve field-facing support.
  • Maintain strong cross-departmental relationships to support collaborative projects.

Administrative & Project Coordination

  • Oversee, but delegate where appropriate, administrative tasks (supply orders, check requests, shipments) to the Marketing Assistant.
  • Support the Director of Marketing on strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure effective tracking of marketing-related training schedules and key department metrics.


Requirements

Location

  • This position is on-site at Mortgage Investors Group’s Knoxville, TN headquarters. Candidates must live in Knoxville or the surrounding area.


Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of marketing platforms and tools (email marketing, CRM, social media scheduling, marketing automation, analytics/reporting tools).
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with an eye for brand voice and compliance standards.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills; comfortable leading training sessions and field visits.
  • Ability to analyze campaign performance and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to collaborate with Loan Officers, leadership, and cross-departmental teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to balance creative strategy and tactical execution.


Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • 5+ years of professional marketing experience, preferably in financial services, mortgage, or real estate industries.
  • Experience supporting a sales team or field-facing staff, with demonstrated ability to translate corporate marketing into local execution.
  • Proven success in campaign management, content development, and brand strategy.
  • Experience working with vendors and managing external creative resources.

Annual Training

Existing employees must complete the following training courses:

  • BSA and AML: Essentials
  • Annual Sexual Harassment Training


Physical Requirements

Must be able to navigate throughout the building. Must be able to hear and communicate well. Must have good eye-hand coordination and finger movement for use in computer software programs.
