Naik Consulting Group is currently seeking a Survey CAD Technician. Naik is a New York-New Jersey engineering services firm which specializes in engineering design, field inspection, and Project Management/Construction Management, primarily in the transportation infrastructure industry.
Responsibilities
- Process field survey data to produce topographic, boundary, ALTA, as-built, and construction survey drawings
- Create and maintain CAD drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar platforms
- Draft plats, legal descriptions, and other survey-related documents
- Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to ensure drawing accuracy
- Interpret field notes, sketches, and other documentation
- Organize and maintain digital drawing files and project documentation
- Follow CAD standards and assist in developing best practices
- Support field crews by preparing base files and construction staking sheets
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a similar CAD technician or survey drafting role
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (or MicroStation/InRoads if applicable)
- Understanding of land surveying principles, data collection, and coordinate systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting
- Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering plans
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
