Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and strategic Manager of Sustainability to lead and implement our organization’s environmental, social responsibility, and governance initiatives. This role is responsible for developing sustainability strategies and driving programs that reduce our environmental footprint while enhancing our social impact.
Requirements
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies specific to product lifecycle, including sourcing, production, distribution, and end-of-life.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable practices into all areas of the business including commercial, operations, supply chain, and human resources.
- Engage stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and community partners, to promote sustainability practices.
- Set both near-term reduction targets and long-term net-zero target in line with SBTi.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics (e.g., carbon emissions and footprints, energy use, waste reduction).
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for sustainable materials, energy efficiency, waste reduction, and resource conservation.
- Enhance recycling practices including the expansion of materials to be recycled and increasing customer awareness and action.
- Manage sustainability certifications and partnerships (e.g., EcoVadis, B Corp, ISO).
- Prepare and present sustainability reports and recommendations to the board of directors and senior leadership.
- Lead sustainability reporting efforts (e.g., Annual Sustainability Report GRI, SASB, CDP, UN SDG disclosures).
- Stay current on environmental regulations and ensure compliance with local, national, and international laws.

Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or corporate social responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with data analysis tools and sustainability software is a plus.
- Passion for environmental stewardship and social impact.
Preferred Certifications:
- Sustainability Excellence Professional (SEP)
- LEED Accredited Professional
- Certified Sustainability Professional (CSR-P)
- GRI Professional – Global Reporting Initiative
Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel as needed for customer engagements, conferences, industry events, NewAge locations on an as needed basis.
