Role: Performs a variety of skilled tasks, installation, repair and trouble shooting work involved with all aspects of buildings, facilities systems and equipment. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three years experience in a resort; prefer certificate(s) in BOMA; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance.
- Able to solve problems using trouble shooting skills.
- Understand the basic skills needed for guest room maintenance.
- Responsible for the safety of him/her self and others.
- Knowledge of MSDS, Occupational hazards and applicable safety hazards.
- Knowledge of basic methods and practices used in preventative maintenance and repair work.
- Ability to operate power tools.
- Ability to communicate read and write in English.
- Ability to demonstrate outstanding guest service at all times both internal and external.
- Ability to maintain work orders.
- Ability to accomplish tasks within strict deadlines.
- Ability to continually seek improvement in results.
- Skill in diagnosing and repair of equipment utilized.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have valid driver’s license.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Ensures that buildings and equipment are maintained in a safe, clean and orderly condition in accordance with Health and Fire regulations.
- Performs basic functions that may include; carpentry, glazier, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting, masonry, safety, security and sanitation.
- Perform general and preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Work with outside vendors/contractors to maintain equipment and inventory.
- Assists with the total maintenance of the building. Repair, maintain, alter and install work according to departmental procedures.
