Your Role:

In this role, you will lead portfolio and pipeline analyses, develop financial models, and support strategic decision-making for organic and inorganic assets.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate complex portfolio and pipeline analyses of organic and inorganic assets (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations, launch cadence, steady-state, and financial/eNPV models).
  • Prepare high-impact presentations for senior leadership and enhance portfolio management through advanced tools and methodologies.
  • Evaluate and manage new tools and methodologies to enhance Portfolio Management and Decision Science (e.g., AI-driven probability of success solutions, Intelligencia, AlphaSense, Visible Alpha).
  • Manage and operate business cases in Excel.
  • Exhibit deep knowledge of Merck pipeline and finance.
  • Facilitate business processes for Strategic Development and quarterly Business Reviews to strategically and operationally steer organic and inorganic portfolio on a short- and long-term.

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering or other Life Science discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in business analytics or portfolio management.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in working with diverse cross-functional teams in an international environment.
  • Advanced PowerPoint & Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, high quality focus and result orientation.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience of business analytics and tools.
  • Excellent understanding of biopharma R&D value chain.
