Fueling Success in this Role:

VP Racing Fuels is seeking a full-time, on-site Chemical Sales Representative based at our Corporate Headquarters located in San Antonio, Texas. This is a dynamic sales role focused on driving chemical product growth across existing and emerging markets through relationship-building, solution-selling, and excellent customer service.


As a Chemical Sales Representative, you will be the face of VP’s chemical division, working closely with prospective and current clients to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions from our high-performance product portfolio. You’ll engage with customers through phone, video conferencing, and in-person meetings, collaborating internally across teams to ensure we meet both individual and team sales goals. In this role, you’ll also support marketing campaigns and report sales activity to the Director of Chemical Sales.

In this role, your essential duties and responsibilities consist of the following:

  • Conduct assigned sales duties using video conferencing, telephone, and other virtual communication tools.
  • Be a point of contact for existing and potential customers.
  • Work in close contact with other salespeople and other internal teams to meet individual and group sales quotas, and brainstorm in a combined effort to set goals.
  • Handle all duties necessary to establish and optimize sales, improve efficiency, and provide outstanding products and customer service.
  • Ensure that all customers receive courteous, effective, and timely service.
  • Assist the marketing department to ensure full and successful implementation of marketing strategies.
  • Provide reports as requested by the Director of Chemical Sales.

Minimum Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must be extremely organized and able to manage the logistics of multiple duties with professionalism and strong communication skills. In addition, strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment is critical for success in the role, as are high levels of accuracy, timeliness and dependability. We are looking for someone who can establish and maintain effective working relationships within the organization, work effectively with all levels of employees and management, and assist in providing solutions to challenges that arise. If this describes you and you meet the following requirements, we would be happy to speak with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Chemicals, or related field AND at least five (5) years of experience in sales and/or chemical industry; OR any combination of education and experience that results in the applicable skills, knowledge, and abilities.
  • Knowledge of petrochemicals, fuels, engines, or aviation is a major plus
  • Salesforce or CRM experience is a plus
