PART-TIME MARKETING ASSISTANT chez Town of Mooresville, NC

Minimum Qualifications

Independently, and in coordination with freelance graphic artist as required, conceptualize, design and create visually appealing and informative marketing materials such as flyers, posters, banners, newsletters, brochures, program guides, and other relevant promotional materials required to effectively promote the department. Work with division leads to understand and coordinate promotion of programs and events in conjunction with social media assistant to ensure timely and effective promotion. Update / modify department webpage to ensure timely and accurate information. Manage department Mailchimp account to share events / updates / newsletters with community. Create relationships with divisional leads to maintain positive lines of communication to ensure sharing of programming / event related information. Attend department meetings as required to stay informed about divisional programming and events. Liaison with community organizations to distribute relevant department promotional materials. Assisting the Marketing Manager with any other relevant marketing responsibilities. Research marketing trends and suggest opportunities to initiate new processes / technologies or storytelling methods 
that enhance department profile.

Other Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and six months to one year of related experience. 

Schedule: Up to 19 hours per week. This position requires a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Total hours will be under 1,000 hours per calendar year rule. 

Special Requirements: Possession of a valid North Carolina Driver’s License. Flexible work 
schedule allowing for periodic evening or weekend work.
