What you will do as a Maintenance Technician:

  • Provide technical assistance to community Executive Directors/Administrators and maintenance personnel in maintenance matters as necessary. 
  • Routinely monitor each community's compliance with the established preventive maintenance program and with federal, state and local laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures as they pertain to physical plant, safety, environmental and maintenance issues.
  • Perform maintenance foreperson duties as directed by the Facilities Maintenance Consultant. 
  • Participate in special maintenance-related projects as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Consultant. 
  • Participate in training and orientation of current and future maintenance personnel as necessary.

Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

Must be 18 years of age

Must have a basic knowledge of mechanical equipment, carpentry and general maintenance procedures.

Must provide proof of immunization/immunity to MMR, and Varicella

A current, valid license to operate a vehicle in the state of Maine and a driving record that is satisfactory to the company is required

Strong command of the English language with the ability to follow oral and written instructions with precision
