About the role
As a Materials Supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall success of warehouse operations, ensuring the accurate and safe receipt, storage, and retrieval of inventory used for manufacturing, assembly, and shipping. You will play a critical role in delivering exemplary service to both internal and external customers through process discipline, inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, task prioritization, and effective staff leadership. Clear communication across teams is essential to succeed in this role.
What you will be doing
Direct and lead material handlers and associates in line replenishments, timely put-away of goods, and packaging orders for shipment.
Ensure adherence to industry best practices, including FIFO, visual warehouse management, lot traceability, safety, and 5S standards.
Develop and recommend system and process improvements by analyzing workflow, staffing, space requirements, and equipment layouts.
Implement approved changes and use metrics to measure productivity, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement opportunities.
Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork to meet or exceed productivity targets and functional metrics.
Track and report daily metrics during EQDC meetings.
Participate in production and planning meetings, providing timely updates and insights.
Oversee and, when needed, participate directly in picking, packing, distribution, and other material handling activities.
Act as the Materials Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing guidance on processes and problem-solving.
Recruit, train, supervise, and discipline staff while fostering a high-performance environment.

About you
High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications preferred.
5+ years of warehouse experience with demonstrated results in FIFO, visual warehouse management, materials flow, and inventory accuracy.
At least 2 years of proven success leading a small team of associates.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems, handheld scanners, and MS Office applications.
Capable of effectively understanding and applying MRP concepts.
Certified and experienced forklift driver with ability to maintain equipment.
Physically able to sit, stand, bend, twist, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted (heavier items with assistance).
Known for being an effective communicator, problem-solver, and motivator of teams.
