Job Title: Marketing Intern

Reports To:  Marketing Coordinator

Schedule:  Part-time (20 Hours/week)

 

Summary of Position:

SmartSolve is seeking an inspired, value-aligned teammate to serve as a Marketing Intern. Your key focus will be content creation and sample creation to support the Sales team. 


Essential Duties: 

· Meet regularly with SmartSolve Marketing Coordinator and Director of Sales & Marketing to understand strategic direction, key initiatives, and company goals.

· Effective planning, executing, and tracking of marketing campaigns such as email, event, trade show, social media, or content marketing, inside the marketing budget.

· Support content creation efforts, proofing, and ensuring content is on-brand and relevant. 

· Fulfill custom prototype sample mock-up creation requests from the Sales team 

· Add content to SmartSolve website and social platforms (LinkedIn articles), ensuring the proper keywords are in place for organic search. 

· Assist with developing and managing content and social media marketing programs, including blogs and public relations efforts. 

· Manage social media profiles and a monthly posting calendar for maximum engagement.

· Assist with email marketing for and other promotional campaigns to create marketing qualified leads for sales.

· Support website updates and continuous improvement projects for the brand.

· Meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly content goals as assigned by Marketing Coordinator and reiterated on your One Page Business Plan (OPBP).

All other responsibilities or projects as assigned by the Marketing Coordinator.

 

Requirements

  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Highly proficient project management skills.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Ability to organize and schedule one's work and the self-motivation to diligently perform it with little supervision.

· Good computer skills, including knowledge of excel, word, and familiarity with CRM software.


Training and Experience:

· High School degree, majoring in Marketing, or business-related field and/or equivalent combination of education

· Experience in a related role is preferable but not required.


Physical Requirements:

· Reaching for phone and keyboard

· Talking, hearing and repetitive motion

· Sedentary work-exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.

· Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures
