DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on amusement park rides and related equipment as assigned; take corrective actions as issues are identified
- Troubleshoot, replace, and repair major components tied to amusement park rides and attractions such as gearboxes, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, chains, gears, springs, brakes, wheels, hoses, sprockets, and a wide variety of mechanical devices
- Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
- Respond to maintenance related radio calls within a timely manner during amusement park operational hours
- Communicate effectively with management and maintenance staff to ensure fewer attraction downtimes
- Record work through a Computerized Maintenance Management System for all services performed on ride attractions to maintain appropriate documentation
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- 2 – 3 years of previous verifiable mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in an industrial or amusement park setting, along with troubleshooting skills a must
- Able to drive and operate forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts are a plus but not required
- Able to understand basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
- Able to work safely and effectively at higher elevations such as ladders, platforms, or other structures that can be as high as 130 ft above ground
- Must be able to work varied shifts that can include nights, holidays, and weekends
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment that includes hot and cold conditions
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to use basic mechanical tools (wrenches, sockets, pliers, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, etc.)
