Job Summary

The Retail Store Manager oversees the operations of domestic retail stores, including managing the team structure and day-to-day activities, including onsite inventory management, process and procedure creation, and enforcement.

Essential Functions 

  • Manages retail employees and retail store operations, including recruiting, performance management, and workplace scheduling.
  • Facilitates staff learning and development, and training.
  • Responsible for the flow of product into stores, including managing minimum on-hands in accordance with sales targets and forecasts.
  • Considers trends, customer, and staff feedback.
  • Manages the receiving process of products into the point of sale system.
  • Works with the store team to set up and execute returns to the distribution center.
  • Verifies pricing is accurate and oversees in-store pricing verifications and adjustments.
  • Ensures table displays match plans on the marketing calendar.
  • Ensures that store presentation reflects standards set in visual merchandising manual.
  • Executes corporate-wide sales and promotional events in all retail environments.
  • Ensures staff are informed on promotional events to increase sales and achieve targets according to KPIs.
  • Monitors digital platforms such as Yelp and Google for customer reviews on in-store experiences. 
  • Responds to reviews and uses information to evaluate policies and procedures and maintain high service levels.
  • In charge of managing labor, supplies, travel, and events budgets for both retail locations.
  • In charge of ensuring that charges are coded to correct GL accounts.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum six (6) years of experience in a retail environment required
  • Minimum one (1) year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred

  • Ability to foster teamwork and manage conflict within a small retail environment
  • Ability to develop and mentor employees
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills

Base Salary: $72,180 - $75,000 yearly
This range represents the low and high ends of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and location.
