SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION:
Provide vocational/employment support to individuals who are receiving services from the Spectrum Health & Human Services ACT team.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Knowledge and demonstration of agency core values in day-to-day activities
 - Assist individuals with identifying employment/vocational goals.
 - Explore with individuals the steps needed to obtain Employment/Vocational Goals.
 - Conduct vocational assessments when needed.
 - Assist with job exploration that matches an individual’s strengths and desires.
 - Assist with developing skills necessary to choosing, securing and maintaining employment.
 - Assist with the electronic submission of applications and resumes.
 - Educate individuals served and staff on Employment/Vocational services available to them.
 - Assist individuals with overcoming barriers they may face in obtaining their Employment/vocational goals
 - Provide rapid non-traditional employment opportunities to those individuals seeking such goals
 - Provide resources for individuals and staff regarding Work Incentive Benefits for those on SSDI/SI who pursue vocational goals
 - Network with local Vocational Programs to assist individuals with Vocational goals
 - Ability to utilize electronic data systems (i.e. electronic records and computers).
 - Provide case management for clients including coordinating and monitoring these activities.
 - Conduct ACT comprehensive assessments to assist in the development of treatment plans in conjunction and collaboration with the treatment team and providers.
 - Document and maintain an individual’s permanent record.
 - Responsible in providing individual with supportive therapy, linkages to support services as well as assistance in the development of symptom management and rehabilitation skills.
 
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
- Proficient in the use of computer software such as MSWord, Outlook, as well as the use of the internet to complete job searches and applications.
 - Must have some degree of knowledge and experience of vocational programs available for individuals.
 
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field plus one year work experience with mental health recipients OR
 - Associate degree in Human Services or related field with two years’ experience working with mental health recipients
 - LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC(P), PHD, PSYD, RN, CASAC preferred
 
EXPERIENCE:
- Three years work-related experience
 - Must possess a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record & drive in the community with own vehicle.
 
COMPENSATION: $23.09/hr - $29.44/hr
