HIP HOP DANCE INSTRUCTOR chez Madison Area YMCA

We’re looking for a part-time Dance Instructor with a strong focus on Hip Hop to join our team. You’ll bring energy, skill, and passion to our after-school classes, inspiring students of all ages and abilities while fostering a safe and welcoming environment.

Schedule:
Part-time | Monday – Friday, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Lead high-energy Hip Hop classes and, as needed, teach other dance styles such as Creative Movement, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, and Modern.

• Develop engaging lesson plans and choreography that encourage growth, creativity, and confidence.

• Create an inclusive and positive atmosphere that keeps students motivated and supported.

• Ensure safety at all times by following and enforcing YMCA policies and procedures.

• Provide constructive, encouraging feedback to help students improve and celebrate their progress.

• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to coordinate schedules, performances, and events.

• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through open and friendly communication.

• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.

What You’ll Bring:
